Mr. Abdul is senior counsel in the firm. He has more than 40 years experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution in UAE and abroad.

His practice areas include complex civil & commercial disputes, financial disputes, insurance claims, banking issues and construction litigation. His practice focuses on litigating disputes among parties to complex investment, financing and other business transactions.

Mr. Abdul maintains a high profile commercial litigation practice with significant experience handling insurance coverage, financial matters and general civil litigation. His clients include high profile corporate clients and government entities in the financial, shipping, insurance, construction, banks and transportation industries.

He also has long and active practice in international and domestic arbitration. He has represented a wide range of financial and industrial clients in all forms of arbitration including disputes heard under the auspices, ADCCAC and DIAC.

He has participated in arbitrations in a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, construction, shipping, banking and financial, project engineering etc.

Abdul has thorough experience representing clients in the areas of complex commercial insurance litigation, insurance coverage disputes, extra-contractual claims and disputes between insurance and reinsurance companies. Mr. Abdul is familiar with the various policies from which such claims and disputes have arisen, including general liability, professional liability (agents, attorneys, hospital, intellectual property, technology, etc.), property, aviation, workers, compensation, fidelity, automobile, excess liability, umbrella and surplus lines.

He has extensive experience representing policyholders in coverage negotiations and disputes with their insurance companies, and litigating coverage issues in courts across the country.

Mr. Abdul's experience covers a wide variety of insurance products including commercial general liability, directors and officers, professional liability, errors and omissions, fiduciary liability, property, business interruption, fidelity, marine and credit risk insurance, among others.

Mr. Abdul concentrates his practice in the area of representing banks, investment banks and specialty financial service companies in connection with secured financing transactions with emphasis in real estate and land development. He also represents entrepreneurs and business owners in connection with various business matters, including organization and capitalization of new business ventures.

Mr. Abdul's practice includes all areas of finance & banking related litigation. He has represented debtors, creditors, committees, secured lenders, bondholders, distressed debt traders, trade creditors, and asset acquirers.

He also practiced maritime law and his litigation experience spans commercial disputes, insurance coverage issues, vessel seizures, maritime personal injuries, multi- and singe-claim limitation of liability actions, third party, vessel collisions and allusions, indemnity and applications of anti-indemnity statutes, and cargo claims.
